MILES LESLIE
Miles was admitted as a lawyer in 2016 and called to the bar in 2025. He accepts briefs in all criminal, quasi-criminal and regulatory proceedings, as well as family law, child protection and domestic violence proceedings.
Miles has extensive experience from both sides of the bar table. He began his legal career as a solicitor in private criminal defence before going on to prosecute on behalf of the Queensland Police Service. He later joined the Office of the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor (OWHSP) as part of a specialised team focusing on fatalities and serious incidents within the mining industry. He then spent years with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (ATSILS), vigorously defending some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Miles holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Adelaide, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practise, and a Master of Laws with Distinction (specialising in criminal practise) from the University of Wollongong.
